Christ our Lord and Redeemer calls us to be his disciples. We heed his call to go out into the world as a disciple making community, to bring the love of Christ through the witness of our congregation to all whom we meet and serve through our ministries, trusting that a vitally personal faith in Christ can transform lives.
Christ Methodist Church in Ampang was first established as a preaching point of Wesley Methodist Church Kuala Lumpur in 1996. We were instituted as a local congregation in 1999. We have been blessed by the diversity of cultures, ethnic origins and age groups in our congregation. Our church services are inter-generational. We come together as one family united through Christ and the Holy Spirit to worship and praise Yahweh, the Almighty God, our Heavenly Father.
God sends us out to all the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. Come walk with us on this our journey of faith, hope and love.
We do this by Growing in Discipleship in Community and for the Community. We do this through Five Practices of a Fruitful Congregation namely
Our worship service begins at 11:00am on Sunday. Join us as we praise God with a combination of both contemporary songs and traditional hymns. The Lord’s Supper is served on the fourth Sunday of every month.
Join one of our adult (and youth) classes as we study the Word of God every Sunday at 9:00am to 10:15am in a discussion based, interactive manner that challenges to apply what we learn in our daily lives.
All children below the age of 13 are welcome to join us in learning about God and life from His perspective. Parents are encouraged to accompany toddlers and be part of the learning process.
Join one of our many small groups (including a seniors group, a young adults group, and other mixed demographics groups) that meet weekly, as we worship, fellowship, discuss the Word of God, and serve as a small group within the larger community of the church.
Join us as we spend an hour and a half in worship and seek God in prayer and intercede as a church once a month, on the fourth Thursday of every month at 8:30pm.
Looking to be baptised as a follower of Jesus Christ and become a member of our church? Or perhaps you want to know more about the basics of the Christian faith? The Social Concerns ministry aims to bring the Kingdom of God to those who are in need, particularly in the areas of education and finances. We seek to love God and our fellow man as we equip, empower, and bless individuals and the surrounding community in meeting their basic needs. Helping provide groceries for low income households, tuition classes, and health check services under the Mustard Seed Ministries are some of the ways we address this aim.
